1. What are the cookies that we use, which purpose do they serve and which are the personal data that we collect through cookies?
a) Measure our website’s traffic
We use Google Analytics cookies, which collect visitors’ personal data, including IP addresses, online identifiers, device identifiers, client identifiers and unique identifiers, as well as other information, such as aggregated and statistical data.
Google Analytics operate by means of tracking code that is added to the pages of our website. b) Direct our visitors to our pages on social media
We use Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn plug-ins on our website as links to our pages on those social media so that our visitors can be directed directly to them if they wish to. The plug-ins serve as links to our social media profiles and by clicking on a social plug-in, the visitor is directed to this particular social media platform and by signing in he/she is directed to Choose Life’s social media profile. Such social plug-ins allow the transmission of your personal data to the provider of the plug-in, i.e. Facebook and Microsoft.
The legal basis for the processing of your personal data to direct you to Choose Life’s profile on those social media platforms is your consent that you are requested to provide to us at the time of your first visit to our website.
2. To whom we may disclose your personal data?
We do not share your personal data that we may collect through cookies with any third party. Access to your personal data may be given to trusted external service providers engaged by Choose Life, such as companies providing IT services and website hosting, only to the extent necessary for the provision of their services to us. These service providers act as data processors in relation to your personal data and are bound to process your personal data exclusively on behalf and under Choose Life’s instructions and to implement strict security measures for protecting your personal data.
3. How we treat and how long we retain your personal data?
Any data that have been collected through Google Analytics cookies will be retained by Choose Life for a maximum period of three (3) months from the date of collection. If you decide to delete or deactivate such cookies from your browser our website we will no longer collect your information. Any data that have been collected through the social plug-ins embedded on our website will be retained by Choose Life for a maximum period of 1 month.
